Luka Salehar

Luka Salehar (1976), drummer. Silence often challenged the public perception of what their music is supposed to be with odd collaborations (duet with Werner), unorthodox production techniques (the distorted soundscapes of their second album, Unlike A Virgin), unconventional musical experiments (the Maison des rendez-vous soundtrack) or elaborate multimedia constructs (The Vain Tribute project). In early 2005, once again in their re-inventive mood, Silence decided to replace their trademark - programmed drums with acoustic ones for the Vain Tribute live appearances. The obvious choice for this demanding task was Luka Salehar, who began his career in Niowt and is currently engaged in several projects: Kamerad Krivatoff, Frictions ... Salehar's relentless, elaborate drives soon became a crucial, irreplaceable element in Silence's live appearances.
