Silence: The Girl Of My Best Friend

In the beginning of '97, Silence were asked to contribute an Elvis cover for the soundtrack of Elvis De Luxe, a rather peculiar theater piece. As Silence was a rather unknown band at the time, the director decided to give them a relatively unknown song, while keeping the evergreens for the more established bands. Even though Silence felt somewhat frustrated at first, the director's choice proved to be right. 'The Girl' became one of Silence's most intriguing songs and was later added to the band's upcoming debut at the request of their label.
